Monotype

This piece is aimed towards students, learners and strugglers of type, myself and my peers. I sought to create a piece that people can not just read but also visually appreciate, hang on their wall, around their college, their workplace, to constantly serve to remind them to expand beyond what's safe and comfortable rather than be read once and be put in a bookshelf.

This piece was designed to deliver the message that you need to use your brief, research and knowledge of typographic history to guide your process of trial and error in the practice of typography.

My goal was to create a typographic piece which distils upon fellow learners of typography the importance of experimentation with type in the process of learning. The piece lives as an example of this message using simple typography in interesting ways to create a visually impactful design.
