This project involved creating a poster and album cover for the Japanese artist 雲端司機 (Cloudriver) as-well as a Japanese woodcut print effect version.
The final result for the Sunny Afternoon album revolved around celebrating the rich history of his origins and how he embraces the past and combines it with the present in his album.
The combination of the rising sun to celebrate the unity of Japan, the samurai to celebrate the cultural past and how it affects the future, the red ribbon which signifies the destiny of love in Japan and the cherry blossoms representing the affect and embrace of Japan’s natural beauty on the artist.
